10 Things I'm Grateful For

Happy New Year everybody!

I'm really not into all that 'new year, new me' stuff because I know that I'll make some sort of commitment because its the new year and just not stick to it. So, I've decided to share with you my list of everything I am grateful for so I can enter 2017 remembering all of the positive things in my life.

I hope you're all having a wonderful new year and enjoyed your time off work! So, grab a cuppa and check out my list of everything I'm grateful for.

1. My Family
I know it's a cliche one to begin with but I honestly do feel so blessed to have the family I do. They are so supportive of everything I do and I genuinely just enjoy spending time with them.

2. My Boyfriend
I'm not going to write anything mushy (don't worry) but. simply, I have found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.

3. My Love of Writing
I just feel really lucky that I have something that I really enjoy doing. A lot of people can't say that they have an interest that they're really passionate about and love doing so I feel grateful that I do.

4. Our Flat
I have been able to move into a flat of my own straight after University. Not many people are able to do that and I am so grateful that I can.

5. My University Experience
It was the best decision I made and opened so many doors for me. I was able to get a graduate job that I love, met my best friends, boyfriend and was able to thoroughly learn my favourite subject.

6. My Job
Like I just said, I love my job! I am so, so grateful for the opportunity and it came at the right time as you can read in my previous post. Moving to London didn't work out and it really was a blessing in disguise as it led me to this job.

7. Friends That Will Be There No Matter What
I am so grateful that I have true friends who I can turn to no matter where I am.

8. The Ability and Opportunity to Learn
It may sound silly but I feel so grateful that I have been brought up in a society where I am actually able to learn new things and grow as a person. As a woman, I know it's something that I shouldn't take for granted.

9. My Love of Simple Things
I am grateful that I am able to put a great amount of value on non-materialistic, simple things in life. I am lucky that I have been raised with the mindset that money and materialistic goods don't bring happiness.

10. My Freedom
I am actually free to do what I want. That's crazy, really, considering it wasn't long ago that women weren't even allowed to vote!

Have a great 2017 and, even if you're making New Years Resolutions, don't forget all the positive things you're already blessed with.
